There are some classes where only teacher talks and the students just listen while there are some classes where there is more of an interactive section where students keep asking and even contribute. Which type of class do you prefer? A class where only teacher talks or where both student and teacher have something to share.
When we were at school we saw three types of teachers. The first who would say before beginning that once the lecture had started no one could interrupt. Any questions could be noted down and would be answered later. The second category of teachers werethose who kept on insisting their students to ask some questions at regular intervals until the lecture was over. This category of teachers was disappointed when the students would not ask questions.
The third and final one was that began by asking the students primary information about the subject and tried to extract what the students already knew. Once they were through they would start withtheir lecture and carried out their lecture in a more interactive form where they would keep coming with questions. I don’t know if they did this to ensure that the class was listening to them.
There were good and bad teachers in all the three categories. There were teachers who when started, it felt as if they should never stop. Our English literature teacher was one such teacher who was just a treat to hear to. While there were such interactive teachers too who would just frustrate the students and the output of the lecture was zero (no offenses against the teachers here).
It all depends on the teacher how he/she makes the lecture interesting. We would always love our teachers for making us eligible to understand the good and bad in our lives and also making us eligible to stand where we are standing in our societies.
