Stranger is anyone who is unknown. Recall the moments when you were travelling in a train or bus when someone initialized a conversation and the passengers couldn’t recognize when they arrived at their respective stations. This is not only about travelling.
Consider another situation. Johnny got a job as an auditor in a hypothetical ABCDEF company. The job required interaction with several clients that he never knew. The success of the job was solely reliant upon how he could interact to gather more information out of them.
Another example is a safety officer in a company where he has caught someone atthe project site without work permit. The simplest way he could have followed was to take action against him but what he did was counselled the worker in such a way that the worker not only praised him but decided not to repeat the action in future.
Another case may be a professional trainer who has to present his data in front of another organization in such an effective manner that his company gets permanent training opportunities at this organization. The cases may be many where talking before strangers is required. How to overcome the problems is the only question.
There are numerous occasions when it is the time’s requirement to talk to strangers, either to get the job done or to pass the time. Nevertheless, the skill to effectively communicate with strangers reflects the confidence level and personality of the individual. This is what most of them analyse during an interview.
Start this by observing those who you think are best at this. Everyone has its own style. By minutely observing some of them you would know the ways and the better ways that couldbe followed. It may also happen that you could develop something of your own.
Once you have learnt from others start implementing them. The toughest thing while talking to strangers is the first statement. Some of them find it difficult while talking to girls in particular. To read how to talk to girls please refer the link below.
To start the conversations observe the person as minutely as you can before beginning to say anything. Once you have done this you will find that there would be something that you can comment about.
Remember the comment is worthy only if it reflects something positive about the stranger. The best comment would be if you find something that is not right and you have the solution for that but if you don’t have prefer to keep mum.
Sometimes it happens that the conversation gets heated up. Don’t heat yourself at that time. Keep cool and listen to the one who is angry with you. Keep listening and then say what you had to say giving utmost worth to what has been said to you.
The best way to get along with this is to practise as many times you can. There might be instances where you fail. Don’t worry but go on. After all experience is the best teacher in the world.
