When you go to a cinema hall and you ask for a seat at the aisle corner, centre corner or simply the corner and the person booking the tickets gives you the seats you just not wanted to be in. How would you feel? This is what I faced twice and saw such incidence once when a girl was arguing with the ticket booker over the same issue.
I had confirmed that the seats available for the movie Madagascar 3 and went straight to the cinema hall 4 hours before the movie was expected to start. I told the ticket bookerrepeatedly that I want the aisle corner and he continued to confirm that he would give the same as those were available.
When he gave the tickets it was 8 and 9 which were never a corner seat as per my experience with the cinema hall. I have been a regular visitor of Satyam Cinema from the past 5 years as it is located at a 10 minutes walking distancefrom my place and hence convenient (despite the fact that their seats are not as comfortable as Wave Cinemas, DT cinemas or PVR Select City Walk).
I argued with that guy as he had given me the wrong seats but he continued to say that the seats were centre corner seats only. With that being said I was satisfied. Inside the hall I found a different story. The seats were nowhere near the corner. It was centre but there was no centre corner.
I decided to complain to the management as to what was happening around. The manager was not there but there was someone whom I discussed my issues with. Whatever happens but at least I put my word forward.
Satyam Cineplex has theatres in Nehru Place, Patel Nagar and Janakpuri in Delhi. The charges are approximately as high as the best theatres in the town but such instances won’t make the people happy.
