Delhi is a Metropolitan and so is Mumbai. If Delhi is the political capital, Mumbai is the commercial capital of India. Both the cities attract people from all across the globe due to variety of reasons but what makes the cities really different from each other, other than the infrastructure is the human behaviour. This is an important factor when it comes to selecting a city to live in or a city to work.
In Mumbai the people are generally kind. They are always supportive. The auto rickshaw runs on meter unlike Delhi where they can ask whatever they
People in Delhi are generous but the behaviour is aggressive. Money is a major concern. You never know when the environment gets heated up and it can heat up to any extent.
The behaviour of people in businesses is more systematic in Mumbai than in Delhi. Once the procedures are set, it is a general observation that people follow those procedures and are ready to accept if they are wrong somewhere.
In Delhi people are more ambitious and the ambitions bring on the aggression at times. Procedures are taken over by urgent matters.
There is a service called Suvidha at the Mumbai railway stations where the policemen are there to help and secure the public. Whatever help is required those people reply in very polite manner and majority of times help the people out.
At metro station the policemen are helping in nature but they get angry soon. For example when one of my friends asked the policemen why do you check a camera and not a mobile phone while both carry batteries, he got a harsh reply.
It is not that all policemen are the same but what you get is what you can give. When the policemen receive harsh words from people they will also return the favour. After all they are also humans.
Mumbai is great when it comes to human behaviour while Delhi is good when it comes to infrastructure.
