Death is not the problem. Death is not the issue. The issue is that people forget about death. While in discussion everyone agrees, yet as an individual there is a hope that it is not for him/her. Like the attitude is for fire. People never believe there house may be on fire if it had been his neighbor’s house that day.
As a result there came many stories on life after death and reincarnation which people still debate upon. The stories of heaven and hell are all probably because of this. On the other hand Charvak’s Theory believed in nature. Theydeclined the concept of rebirth, hell, heaven and believed everything was what existed. There was no life after death according to them.
While there have been different theories but the important point to remember is that not to forget this ultimate truth, whatever the other truth is. Even the greatest of people including saints, kings, emperors, leaders, businessmen, none could escape death. This may prove a useful theory to get rid ofsorrows as well as joy.
From Swami Vivekananda to Acharya Rajneesh (Osho) everyone shared their thoughts on death. Hindu Mythology has things to discuss on death. Death is not a new thing to discuss. There used to be a story in text books earlier. There was a lady who lost her child. She cried hard and was full of sorrow when she came to know of Lord of Buddha. She went to him in the hope that Buddha would make his dead child alive.
Buddha asked her to find one house where no one died. She could not find one and realized that no one can run away from death. It is an event that is going to happen one day. There is no need to be afraid of death but it should be remembered. As it could prevent one from doing the unwanted, keeping false hopes and hence remain satisfied.
