As is said in case of fear, similar is the case with anger. Fear is necessary and it keeps the individual safe in the probable unsafe conditions. Similarly anger or aggression is necessary sometimes to get the other person right or to make the things right. Anger management is not only to get rid of anger but it also teaches how to manage the anger. Here’s why getting angry is important at times: -
There is an old story that there was a poisonous snake in the village. All the people used to fear its presence. The snake discussed with thesaint and the saint suggested it not to harm anyone and none would harm you. The snake then didn’t hiss at any villager. The villagers when saw the snake near them started attacking the snake at different occasions.
Snake went to the saint again and told the whole story. The saint smiled and said, “I had said not to harm anyone. I never said stop hissing”. Similar is true in the society as well. A person that is calm and cool every time is often misunderstood as a coward. Thismisunderstanding may harm the individual who is not at harm to the others.
Representation of anger is more important that really doing so. Actions speak larger than words. Staring works better sometimes than abusing. There are people that abuse to such an extent that people around them don’t care even the worst of their words. Keeping mum with attitude is better in case of close relations. Sometimes this works when you don’t have the appropriate words to express the emotions.
In an organization a smiling person is welcomed by everybody but it has also been observed that he is tried to be manipulated. Even the workers seldom respect the officer who doesn’t show attitude. The conclusion of all the above statements is it is important to get angry when the person opposite you is at fault. Do not make it a habit to roar at everyone but do not forget to hit the spot at the right time.
