Some Of The Best Dialogues From Hindi Films
A film without good dialogues is no good film. There might be good storyline, mesmerizing performances; great songs but what you remember after watching a movie is the dialogues.Songs are there too but they don’t always relate you with the story.Want to know how? Try to remember the movie Damini and the exchange of dialogues between Sunny Deol and Amrish Puri. Here are some (though there are many) of the best dialogues from the Indian (Hindi) movies: -
Dawar sahib, main aaj bhi pheke hue paise nahi uthata (Amitabh Bachchan)
Ye dhai kilo ka hath jab kisi par padta hai na, to aadmi uthta nahi uth jata hai (Sunny Deol)
Rassi jal gayi, lekin bal nahi gaya (Amrish Puri)
Apni is bhari awaz ko court ke liye bachakar rakhna, waha bahut jawab dene hain (Sunny Deol)
Ye mazdoor ka hath hai katya, lohe ko pighlakar uska aakar badal deta hai (Sunny Deol)
Mard ban ne ka itna hi shauk hai katya to kutton ka sath lena cchod de (Sunny Deol)
Lagta hai babban miyan ne surma nahi lagaya, zara kam dikhayi deta hai (Raj Kumar)
Jaani, ye bachcho ke khelne ki cheez nahi, lag jaye to khoon nikal aata hai (Raj Kumar)
Jinmein ho jata hai andaz e khudai paida, humne dekha hai wo but tod diye jaate hain (Raza Murad)
Hum jaha khade ho jate hain, line wahi se shuru ho jati hai (Amitabh Bachchan)
While some dialogues were a super hit because of the content, some were just made famous by the style they were spoken. For example, “Are O Sambha”, “Nahi Basanti in kutton ke samne mat nachna” etc had nothing special but the way they were spoken and the moment they were spoken was special and hence they are still remembered.
There were some great dialogues in Once Upon a Time in Mumbai too.
I watched some Punjabi movies while I was in Punjab and was surprised to find that there were some very good dialogues in the Punjabi movies too.The Punjabi people use dialogues in a very effective manner in their movies.Movies like Mel Kara De Rabba, Ekam Dharti Da Puttar and Badla Jatti Da had some very good dialogues.
